TruState combines state-of-the-art electronics for Electrical Impedance Spectrometry (EIS) with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our patent-pending technology measures battery cells in ways previously impossible in real-world applications.

How TruState Works:

While conventional systems rely on external measurements (voltage, current, temperature), TruState adds a critical dimension: impedance analysis across frequency ranges. Our technology:

  1. Injects alternating current over multiple frequencies

  2. Measures cell response to create Nyquist Plots (impedance curves)

  3. Analyzes these plots using proprietary AI algorithms


The EIS hardware includes excitation units (BXUs) and measurement units (BMUs) configured to work with industrial battery modules. Our AI analyzes the Nyquist Plots alongside conventional measurements to provide unprecedented accuracy in battery state estimation.

Different AI approaches are used for different metrics:

  • Supervised learning for SoE (remaining life) and internal temperature estimation

  • Reinforcement learning for SoC (energy stored) calculation
