The instrument operates in both untrained and trained AI modes:
+ Untrained mode: performs multiple EIS measurements during discharge cycles to calculate battery health and gather training data

The TruState Instrument also supports regulated testing procedures including the "Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure" (WLTP).
